Perfume Bottle Neck Finish Spec Guide — Crimp, Screw, and Closures
Buyer-side spec for perfume bottle necks — 15mm/20mm crimp, 18/410 and 20/410 screw, and which closures actually match.
Product KnowledgeThis is the spec analog of a size-guide: neck finish, not medical sizing. Wrong necks are the most expensive silent error in a bottle program — pumps do not crimp, roll-ons do not seat, and a reprint will not fix it.

Two families

Do not write “standard neck” on an RFQ. Name the family and the size.
Sizes we quote most often
These are common catalog paths, confirmed per SKU — not a promise that every bottle in the world uses them.

If you already own pumps, send a neck drawing or a sample pump with the RFQ. We will not guess a crimp onto a screw bottle.
Closures as a kit
Quote the bottle with the closure:
- Crimp sprayer — actuator, collar, dip tube length
- Screw pump — thread, gasket, overcap
- Dropper — bulb and pipette length vs capacity
- Roll-on — ball material and cap color
Dip tube length depends on bottle height. A 100ml heavy-base and a 30ml cylinder do not share a tube.
What to put on the drawing (custom mold)
For a new mold, the neck is not decoration. Include:
- Finish family (crimp or screw)
- Size (e.g. 15mm crimp or 18/410)
- Bead / thread dimensions if you have them
- Closure you intend to buy (or ask us to pair one)

QC that actually protects you
On sample and bulk, check:
- Closure seats without rocking
- Spray pattern or roll-on wet-out (you test with water or your juice at the filler)
- Collar / cap color vs the approved chip
- No glass chips at the neck after crimp trials
