Perfume Bottle OEM Process — From Brief to Bulk Pack

How a glass perfume bottle OEM run actually moves — drawing, sample, finishing, print, closures, and export packing.

Perfume Bottle OEM Process — From Brief to Bulk Pack Sourcing Guide

This is the production sequence after you have a supplier. For who belongs on the shortlist, see how to choose a supplier. For quantity language, see MOQ & pricing.

Perfume Bottles Wholesale quotes empty glass packaging. Juice, alcohol fill, and formula work happen at your filler — not here.

The loop (short)

  1. Brief — capacity, silhouette, neck, finish, print, box, destination
  2. Feasibility — catalog shape vs new mold; closure match
  3. Sample — glass, coating, and print as specified
  4. Approval — written sign-off (photos + physical sample when shipped)
  5. Bulk — forming / finishing / decoration / pack
  6. Export — carton, pallet or courier, documents pack on request

Catalog shape vs new mold

PathWhen to useWhat you wait on
Catalog bottleSpeed, known capacity, standard neckFinishing and print samples
Adapted catalogSame body, new coating or printColor standard + artwork
New moldExclusive silhouetteDrawing review, mold, first glass, then finish

A new mold is a separate quote line from the bottle unit price. Do not treat “mold included” claims as default.

Sample contents worth paying for

Ask the sample to prove the same stack you will buy:

  • Glass weight and neck (crimp vs screw — spec guide)
  • Closure seated on that neck (sprayer, pump, dropper, or roll-on)
  • Coating or frost on the quoted process
  • One print color on the quoted print area
  • Box / foam only if the bulk order includes them

A pretty bottle with the wrong neck is not a sample. It is a photo.

Finishing and print in the sequence

Do not lock bulk glass until:

  • Pantone or a physical color chip is agreed for coating
  • Vector artwork and a print-area drawing exist for silk screen / hot stamp / decal
  • You know whether print happens before or after coating (it changes adhesion)

Closures are part of the OEM, not an afterthought

Quote the bottle with the closure. A 15mm crimp sprayer will not sit on an 18/410 screw neck. If you already have pumps in inventory, send the neck drawing with the RFQ.

What we need on the quote form

  • SKU from the catalog or a drawing
  • Quantity path (sample / pilot / wholesale)
  • Neck finish and closure type
  • Frost / coat / print / box — yes or no
  • Ship-to country

Lead times for sample vs bulk are confirmed on the quote. We do not publish a fake sitewide day-count.
